This past weekend I assisted Glen shooting a wedding. Glen was one of the professors leading our Guatemala trip, and it was fascinating to see him work in a completely different setting. (After seeing Glen shoot for two weeks in dumps, slums and nature reserves, a nice, clean, classy event seemed bizarre.)

Assisting and learning from Glen was a fantastic experience, and I look forward to more weddings this summer. I'll post a few photos later, but for now, enjoy a photo of a photographer taking a photo.

New photos from the first half of my work in Guatemala can now be found in the adventure portfolio.

Two weeks without solid internet connections left a lot of time for reflection-- and little time for sharing. As I slowly move through the photos from my time in Guatemala updates and stories will follow.

For now, I'll simply share my gratitude at the experience- for the hospitality of the project I worked with, the amount of knowledge I gained, and the amazing travel companions who grew into friends.

Arrived safe and sound in Guatemala City!
Updates to come soon! (Depending on internet connection!)

Andy Statman and David Grisman took to the stage with dueling mandolins to kick off the Boston Jewish Music Festival. Their blend of bluegrass and klezmer brought the packed theater to their feet. It's not too late to join; the Jewish Boston Music Festival is happening over the course of the next two weeks. For more information check out their website.
